Amid nosediving ratings, Arrow is bringing back Katie Cassidy to play Black Siren, Laurel's Earth-2 doppelganger.
Part of me wonders if this is in fact the Starbuck Ploy from Battlestar Galactica writ large. Kill someone off, say they're done with the show, and then psych! I do think there's enough evidence in the first half of Season 4 to suggest that Laurel was always the one in the grave, even though the writers have said that they basically pulled her name out of a hat at the last minute. But "yeah, we planned on killing Laurel from the start" would have given the game away when they introduced Black Siren at the end of that season of The Flash...
...yeah I'm giving these people way too much credit.
Laurel's back, ish. Yay. Please don't screw it up.
