Five years ago, I had some different opinions than I do now. Mostly these pertain to films, since my musical and political tastes were set.
I've revisited some of the films I know I had opinions on five years ago.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service went from being a film like three-quarters of the way down the list to being The Best Bond Film Ever Made.
The Living Daylights went from being middle-of-the-pack to on my Top 5 Bond Films.
Quantum of Solace went from unwatchable shite to #10.
Diamonds Are Forever cemented its status as The Worst Bond Film Ever Made.
and in non-Bond Film categories, The Godfather Part II went from being a massive rambling disappointment to... uh... having great cinematography, performances and score. But the story's still a mess, so it lags behind the first and only other film in the franchise.
(Yeah, there's no way in hell I'm giving Godfather III another shot.)
